Ooh, fascinating! I've been to Prague, but of all these towers, the only one I've been up in is the Eiffel Tower. I've also been on an insanely high observation deck in Istanbul.
I can't believe some of these things are built to *sway*. Marvellous feats of engineering! But neither their beauty (if they have it) nor their fantastic views, can overcome my fear of heights!
Oh, which one in Istanbul? And, yeah, the construction is amazing. At some point I'll write about my favorite tall buildings including Taipei 101 where you can see a HUGE metal ball hanging in the center to keep the building steady in quakes!
I love Coit Tower ... something so odd about it. Maybe it's just absorbed the San Fransisco vibes ...
The oddity definitely makes it stand out!
"That column looks like a concrete sewer pipe fell out of the sky, and no one could be bothered picking it up."
LMAO. It's funny because it's true!
Have you been?
No, I mean the pictures verify the accuracy of your description!
Ooooo, super interesting. Thanks for sharing!!
Any time!
